This girl is dreaming
Dreams she did not know
Dreams seeming possibleWith a smile upon her face
Masking fear inside
She walks throughout these halls
Feeling terrified
The sea of masks who seem to glide
In pure and blank stare
She wonders and she ponders
If they even see her there
And through the mass she makes her way
To where shell come to be
And through the mass she made her way
Slow and steadily
Sigh, relief, sit and be still
Another day goes by
Going by without much thrill
Now safe and comfortable
In her little home
She realizes suddenly
That she feels all alone
The crowed
The noise
The ocean of masks
She has come to know
An afternoon of thoughts goes by
As the sun descends down low
There she sits in darkness
Wondering how it all will be
Imagining a life for her
As clear as she can see
A crack upon her face
Is witness in this place
The girl has dared to dream
And nothing can deny
The radiance inside
Her light, her beam
Uncertainty is certain
Of where her life may go
The knowledge and the mystery
That life may someday throw
For now she sits in darkness
The moon her only ray
For she waits upon her hopes and fears
To start another day
